Writing Christmas Cards
Is it just me or is writing Christmas cards to family and friends just awful. It just doesn’t seem right to put one name, it hurts too much. This year I am going to let everyone know that I am donating to a charity the amount that I would normally spend on cards - I thought I would choose a charity which helps widows - for me that would feel much better, feel as though I was turning a negative into a positive. ![]()
My friends and family know and understand the pain and feel that it is a wonderful way of honouring his memory as well.

I see the comment saying “This really helps..um not” I can only comment on what helps me, and if that helps others then fantastic. We all deal with grief differently, we all find our own way….sharing has helped many, if some of my ideas don’t work for you then I am sorry for that…but the issue with grief is that it is personal. Doing nothing will not work either, I am working hard and turning a horrendous time around and finding a way of coping. My hope that sharing my thoughts will help others more times than not…
