The Power of Words and Hugs
It has been a funny week with a couple of friends passing away. I have been feeling a little down and today I got a card from a friend which said
“Whenever you are feeling sad
and things aren’t going right
and your usual happy smile
has slipped right out of sight,
here’s a little hug from me if
I cannot be there because I want
you to know just how much I care”
In a world of speed,in a world of social media, in a world of that seems to struggle with attention…I believe we can forget the power of the written word, the power of a hug. I love the web, but I love the real world friendships as well.
