The only way to overcome bereavement
People often ask me “Have you got any quick ways of feeling better?” I am afraid I don’t…bereavement is a process that you need to work through. I suppose the best piece of advice that I can give you, is that it is only working at it that you will come through it. Undertstanding the Cycle of Grief which you can read here - Understanding Shock, Facing Denial, Anger and Guilt, Despair and Depression, Acceptance - is one way, and also believing that you will survive. It is not easy, but working at it not only helps you understand, but also gives you a focus during the process.
