The Missing Present…the tears, the hug, the hope!
I have wrapped my presents today and there is one missing. It hurts, the pain of grief rises inside and of course there are those tears that start to flow. I never mind feeling upset, after all it shows that the love is as strong as ever….I allow myself to wallow and then go to his photo and say
“I love you as much now as ever, you know that…you always said you didn’t need a gift because you had
the gift of love….so I am going to hold your photo, hug as always and then ensure that I find a way of enjoying this Christmas. After all Xmas is about thinking of others and showing our love for family or friends…”
You may well be feeling that pain too, don’t hide the pain but also don’t stop yourself from finding a way of laughing with others - laughing is enjoyment not forgetting…
