Shape your day to avoid stress
I was reading an article in Success Magazine and there is an article from Dr Kathleen Hall on how you get out of bed in the morning can have a profound effect on your day. I thought I would share with you her tips as I find the first hour really difficult - that is when I feel the most depressed and unable to cope with my grief.
1) Wake Gently - Look for a natural sounding alarm clock. Harsh sounds jars you awake rather than allowing you to awake calmly.
2) Breathe Deeply - Take several deep breaths to clear your head and get oxygen to all parts of
your body.
3) Enjoy Your Shower - Use it to relax…use soaps and shampoos with aromas that you enjoy. Citrus are the most energising.
4) Eat Well - Have a slow, healthy meal and if possible share it with others to allow talking and laughing.
I don’t know whether these will help, but I am going to try!
