Making a Memorial Quilt
There are many ways to make a memorial quilt. It is something that appeals to widows; I know when I lost my husband, it took forever to get the clothes out of the closet. As Joan Didion would have said in her book, The Year of Magical Thinking, “He’s going to need them when he gets back.” Which of course gets into denial but that isn’t what we are talking about today.
Having a quilt made out of your husband’s clothes is like getting a hug from him. It is being snuggled in his arms and it also a wonderful tribute to him and your marriage. There are many kinds of quilts, but the one I am going to show you is the tee-shirt quilt.
If your husband wore a lot of tee-shirts, collect them all together, and visit the site below. It is the easiest kind of quilt to make. Another time we can talk about quilts made from other clothes - a bit more complicated but definitely worth the time.

Ihave beeen encouraged and what I have known is that all widows go through the grief same way. Itis now four years since my beloveth husband went back home but at times the memory is always fresh. Let us continue communicating and encouraging each other. At times one thinks she is the only one who is suffering the grief or loneliness. The only problem Ihave is educating my two sons who are in the university and twin finish secondary education. pray for me that God opens ways of them continuing with their studies. Love Irene Seif
