Keeping your mind active
I am travelling today and have something like 7 hours ahead of me. I need to watch out when I am traveling that I don’t allow my mind to wander into negative thoughts. The waiting around, the lack of activity can
really make your mind play tricks. I try and read, I listen to podcasts, I write blog posts(!) I do anything that keeps my mind active and thinking about positive aspects of my life.
I believe the more you keep your mind active the easier it is to stay balanced, to stay away from those darker thoughts. Infact the more I realise that coming through grief is hard work, but then anything worth achieving is hard work!
