Inspiration and Hope
I received a wonderful e-mail from Amy from New Jersey. She lost her husband who she had been married to only 6 months in a freak accident. She wrote:
“I spent the first few weeks hating the fact my happiness had been taken away, hating the fact that other people get to spend years together, hating anyone who appeared happy. Why should they be, when I wasn’t?
I then got diagnosed with cancer, when faced with death I realised what a waste of time hating is…..no matter your pain, you have to find a way of finding happiness. You never realise how much you do want to live until the choice is taken from you. I wanted to share with people - don’t make my mistake. I wish I had your health. I wish I had time to give something back to the world to apologise for hating it so much”
Wow, that left a huge impact on me….and Amy I want to thank you for giving us all a jolt….my heart goes out to you and thanks so much for sharing your heartfelt thoughts
