In the eyes of the child - they live on
Just followong on from the last post, when a parent is lost, their life lives on in the child. I asked my mum this weekend how she was coping with her loss and she said ” Anna, as long as you are here, I have not lost your dad. You remind me of him every day, you have his nature, you look like him but most of all your heart is full of love like your dad’s. I have a part of him with me whenever I talk to you or I am with you”
Memories do live on in children. Children can provide real comfort, as you look in their eyes you know that the lost parent lives on. The children of the 9/11 disaster will also keep the spirit of those hereos alive….
