Animals Are Great Company

When my bereavement happened I was lost and so alone. I had always looked after people and here I was wondering what my role would now be in life. I decided to go to the Cat Protection League and “adopt” two young kittens. They have been wonderful. At first they were very shy and would not accept me. I had to build their trust and this was a focus that really helped.

They are now starting to grow up and are wonderful fun to play with, they sleep on my bed and often nuzzle me during the night. They don’t replace my loss but they do fill a part of the void…..and the best bit they love me unconditionally whether I am crying, feeling down or having a better day. The house still has something missing but they have helped to bring some laughter back to our home.
